StackIt (v1.1 released!)

@SkyTheCoder - Good ideas. I’ll post a full roadmap sometime. A wikia-like thing (I’d make my own) wouldn’t be bad. But right now, I only have 16 (I think) objects and 7 power ups. I’ve got about 4 more advanced bodies coming and about 4 more power ups, so I need more ideas. With advanced bodies, I can do anything.
And yes, the duck is one of the easer eggs I added. Let’s see who can find the other.

Yeah, last night after I posted that I saw the change log said you added some Easter eggs.

Okay, after Easter egg hunting on the main menu, I found a little glitch, where a gray T and a blue line got glitched and merged together. The glitch is above the C is StackIt.

Glitchy T Shape

Also, right after that glitch appeared the menu froze. And then the app crashed.

The menu seems to freeze every now and then.

The jumbo circle isn’t the other Easter egg, is it?

Jumbo circle.

Once again, above the C. Hmm… On the orange line that touches the jumbo circle, there’s another mysterious orange shape…

Also, the duck:

I has a ducky.

Above the only red circle.

@SkyTheCoder - That freeze I know about. It’s driving me crazy. Who knows how many hours I’ve spent looking for it. The odd looking shape is a randomly generated polygon. The work by choosing a number of sides 5 through 20, then multiplying each point by a random number between .5 and 1.5, so it’s not an Easter egg, even though it looks like one. The duck is one. Good job.
Btw, I’m taking your suggestion about only showing seen objects in the start screen. Cheat while you can!
Thanks!
BTW, I might make the Easter eggs more common. I just noticed that there’s a super slim chance you’ll get one. The requirements require you to be after level 20 and there’s about a .3% chance you’ll get one.

New build. This one has GameCenter! Please download and sign in.

I’m about to get the new build, but first I have to enjoy cheating and seeing unseen shapes on the main menu. :stuck_out_tongue:

P.S. I’m gonna keep tapping on that StackIt wiki link until it exists.

Haha… Saw another duck. Light blue this time.

I also have an idea for a shape: a double circle. Like double squares, but circles instead of squares. :stuck_out_tongue:

@SkyTheCoder - Cool idea. I’ve never seen a duck, but I’ve the other easter egg 3 times. Funny.
I won’t be putting my wiki on Wikia. I’ll be putting it on my website. I’ll let you know when I get it up.

It’ll be editable, right? I took a bunch of screenshots of every cool thing I found, and they would be great on the wiki…

Also, can you post the URL to the wiki even before it’s available, so I can spam that until it works?

I don’t know if you can tell, but I love wikis. :stuck_out_tongue:

@SkyTheCoder - Haha. The next version will have a virtual shelf showing all your objects and how many you’ve got of them. Same with the power ups. I might also add soft shadows.

…URL…? :stuck_out_tongue:

Bad news: “StackIt” is already trademarked. Multiple times.

@SkyTheCoder doesn’t look like any of the trademarks are for software or games. Should be able to trademark it without any hassle.

BTW, @Zoyt, this game is amazing. Looking awesome and I can’t wait to see the release in the App Store.

@SkyTheCoder - There is a game on the App Store called “Stackit” that was released long after I decided the name. The URL won’t be an issue. I’ll be using my company website. I started working on it today, and it’s looking good, IMHO.
@Slashin8r - Thanks a lot.

The tilt is strange if I start on an angle. Maybe the tilt should be relative to the initial angle. Also, the swap between fingers and tilt is not obvious how to do and is right by the notification hot spot.

@AndrewStacey - Thanks. I’m looking into a UI redesign. I’m still working on the tilt. It’s kind of hard to get right.

I sent a request to join the team, hope I get to test it :slight_smile:

@Manson- Sorry for the delay.
I’d like some feedback on the tilting controls in my app. It’s not anywhere near perfect, but I’d like ideas on how to make it better.
Thanks!

@Zoyt,

RE: Possible graphics overhaul:

Honestly, I think the mockup you attached is too plain, too boring, and personally I like the current graphics much much better. But, the time, weather, location based stuff sounds intriguing and the gameplay is fabulous, so it wouldn’t be a deal breaker if you went ahead and did it :slight_smile:
