Loading of the editor prototype has happened again. I was coding flipping between Codea and CHATGPT and had added code to an existing project.
All seemed well, after a dialogue with ChatGPT I tried copied code and pasted into my project. All OK. Did this a few times, then I started downloading to file from ChatGPT and opening it by sharing with Codea. The prototype editor loaded up.
After closing Codea and switching my iPad on and off the Codea editor returned to the current Beta
Could this be linked with ChatGPT ? Are you developing the new beta editor on ChatGPT ?
Can you share the code that was run before the editor changed? You can potentially write code in Codea to activate the hidden editor, so I wonder if it did that
@sim - I deleted the project that seemed to trigger the incident so can’t post you any code. I have not been coding anything in particular that would stand out as a possible cause. Without posting any of your code could you possibly indicate any areas to avoid whilst coding?
I suspect the code may have been part of a ChatGPT project that I started so other members who use ChatGPT may encounter it.
The most puzzling aspect of this is that I have not been coding anything that I would try to access beyond my own iPad which would infer that the code triggering this event is built into the version of Codea that I am currently running.
If you would like to delete this post. - be my guest.
@sim@jfperusse - happened again, had been using latest beta for a while, no problems. Potentially a few bits of code left in memory as I switched around a little. Was looking for assets at the same time by searching on the browser and checking for files on my iPad and external storage - so I am wondering if memory allocation getting restrictive if the developed Codea editor replaced the current one in memory or was just addressed incorrectly due to some corruption ?
other point, today I have seen two Codea posts on the website in German - haven’t seen other languages before - do you filter language posts and post accordingly ?
Final point - I did see two non-related posts from Australian sources on the forum which have since been removed, didn’t look related to Codea.
@sim@jfperusse - latest update on this, after re-installing Codea beta and running Codea for a while without issue - I downloaded an update of the project from ChatGPT and when run it loaded the new beta editor of Codea. So I think the new editor was triggered by the code in the latest beta of my map designer which I will attach.
