Acorn Mayhem - Now Available!

@pleiser can u post the link so i can beta test or something?? how does it work? will you email me??

@Sparrownor1 If you signed up for testing @pleiser’s app, wait till he pushes out a build to you.

he hasnt pushed it out yet @Saturn031000

idk if he has

@pleiser could you please push it out to me i really want to beta test this game

@Sparrownor1 Be patient, he’s probably in a different time zone.

Hes probably close to releasing. So why not wait for the real deal

@Sparrownor1, I have added you to the beta :).
I have not done any updates lately as I have been really busy. I will hopefuly release it soon, when I get a chance.

@JakAttak, what is the solution for the iad bug?

~Patrick

I have uploaded a build that adds a slider for the squirrel speed, as well as some bugfixes I forgot to upload a few days ago.

@pleiser some small things to add. I’m enjoying the new slider, but 1. The middle number confused me before I started sliding( it looked like 1 was in the middle where as it should be 2) and 2. You can’t drag it all the way up to 4 or all the way down to 0 (I can understand why you can’t drag down to zero though). One simple solution I think could solve it is to remove the middle number that shows the speed and just have a plain slider.

@pleiser thanks soo much ive got it it is an amazing game

Same as what Staple said

@Sparrownor1, Glad you like it :). do you have any other feedback?

@Staples, @GriffinC I have uploaded an update (0.11.9) that enables you to drag the speed all the way to 4 (and 0), adds a reset slider button, and a few more slider related fixes. :).

~Patrick

@pleiser u didn’t add me to d beta testers list? :frowning: and some feed back, in the slider, it shows a decimal point so if you could just make it 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, something like that…

@pleiser Make the slider more like the native interface sliders in terms of behaviour. What I mean is make it so that if the slider is sliding and the x position moves then the variable will change and if the y position changes, as long as the slider is selected, makes no difference.

@Sparrownor1, did you get the latest update where I made it so There are only 2 decimal places? I don’t think it should be just 1,2,3,or 4 because then you have very coarse control, not as precise, and the slider would jump if you did that.

@Saturn031000, what do you mean? doens’t it already do that? Or do you mean that if you start sliding up and not left or right then it won’t react to left or right movement at all?

~Patrick

@pleiser I mean, if you start sliding you can move your finger above or beneath the slider (still not letting go) and the slider will still change. Go to settings, general, accessibility and in the hearing section, slide the l and r slider. Observe the slider as you move your finger all around the screen.

ok, I think I see what you mean, and I think I have an idea on how to do it :). I will try to do that, and push an update :).

~Patrick

I have uploaded version 0.11.10, It includes the silder feature requested by @Saturn031000 (where you can drag your finger above or below the slider and it will continue sliding), and a work in progress interactive turorial (it is not complete, but feel free to test what I have added to it so far  )

~Patrick

@pleiser =D> You nailed the slider. Ideas for the interactive tutorial – after getting 5 acorns, explain about the different colors and types of acorns. Then make it rain different colored acorns and say “practice getting x points”. Then talk about the death acorn and have it go to the menu and select normal mode.
