@pleiser What you see in a lot of apps are two separate options. One to mute the music and one to mute the sound. You could give two options.
You added my mute button :-bd
Im sorry @pleiser but this gap is still bugging me on iphone

@GriffinC I have uploaded an update fixing this, along with some other minor improvements (mostly seed related) ![]()

Like the update. I think the grass is too real for a pixel game
I have replaced the “made with codea” loading screen with a custom image, and added an option to disable sound effects (and optimized the menu) in the latest update (0.11.6).
I am basically at the end of the list of things I have been planning to add
, so will probably submit the app to apple soon, are there any other suggestions before I do?
edit: @GriffinC, thanks for the feedback, I will consider simplifying the grass.

Just popping out the updates. When is expected release date
I will hopefully submit version 1.0 to apple within the next few days, and apparently apple takes about a week to approve it (if they don’t approve it then I have to fix whatever they say is wrong and resubmt it (and wait another week for re-approval)) after which It will be available!
So probably it will be released within a week or two (if there are no problems)
(I will of course keep this thread up to date with the progress)

I have uploaded a new build with some bugfixes, added settings toggle for high/low graphics settings (default chosen by device type, formerly only chosen by device type), and modifying the big gold acorn sound.
also, can @GriffinC or anyone with an iphone 4S, ipod 5th gen, ipad 2, or original ipad mini please let me know it there is lag on that device at high graphics settings? I do not have a device of that generation devices to test with.
thanks, ~Patrick
Ill check
It runs very smooth. It kind of jerks slightly as the speed increases but it lasts only a millisecond. The faster the game speed the more it jerked
It didn’t slow at all today. Smooth the entire time I played
@pleiser I’m not sure if you have submitted the app to Apple yet, but I found a bug. When starting the app in landscape mode, the iAd is out of place. I think it is using the portrait mode width rather than the landscape mode’s width. Here is a screenshot. Also, I thought of another cool idea you could add. You could give an option using a slider to adjust the squirrel’s speed.
@GriffinC, thanks for testing it, I will set all devices but the iphone 4 to high settings by default
@Staples, thanks, I will look into that bug, and adding a slider
(I have not submitted it yet)

@pleiser, that iAd bug is a tough one: there’s a way to fix it, but it requires using deprecated code and Xcode will not let you forget it (I also think Apple doesn’t like to approve apps with deprecated code). It fixes itself if when going from portrait to landscape. Basically, ads always start at portrait size, so it doesn’t show when starting in portrait but does when starting in landscape, but when changing orientation they resize properly.
jak attak can i beta test?
