When I try to hit the play option it just closes the application I’m on my iPhone I’m about to see if I have the same problem on my iPad.
we’ve just issued a fix in the beta version of Codea. You can get this here:

Hi @kaima, this issue was introduced in the latest version of Codea on the App Store. At the moment, only beta version 3.8.1 (383) available from TestFlight contains a fix so you’ll have to use the beta @sim has linked above for the time-being.

You can use the link I posted to get the beta version of Codea which will fix the issue for you until our next App Store update
