V4 issues with assets and speed on old iPad

@sim @john @jfperusse - Just out of curiosity thought I’d post up my thoughts on the latest observations I have seen with V4, hoping to see if they are consistent across the patch or just me stumbling along.

Firstly, I have run into a problem addressing assets, which I believe is due to my lack of understanding. This involves addressing assets both directly with a path and programmatically with selection variables. I think my problem is self inflicted as I have assets embedded in subdirectories in the Codea root. I have always addressed assets before 4 with a direct path link or one derived from variables. I have used the new asset system for simple asset paths such as the main root to an asset folder. Recently I have been trying to use embedded sub directories within the main project root folder and have found assets present but dimmed out and not selectable. Has anyone else seen this ?

My other issue is with my old iPad. When initially loading Codea it takes forever to display the project icons as most of them are on iCloud. Also, in general the old iPad runs a lot slower. Is this down to the latest beta ?

P.s. I realise the WiFi speed on my old iPad is slower than my more recent iPad, which may have affected the project downloads from iCloud.

@Bri_G out of curiosity does your old iPad fare any better with the latest build of 3.12 (or the App Store release). We did have some performance issues that we tried to fix

@sim - the upgrade did seem to make Codea on my older iPad a little slicker in general but haven’t yet tested in depth.
