Let’s face it: The Codea runtime is not bug less. That’s for sure. Ever since the runtime came out of beta, everything has been turned into an archive file. If there’s an error with the runtime, or we want to tweak a feature, there’s nothing we can do.
I’d love to have the runtime open-source again.

I also have been waiting for it. @Simeon wrote in the beta thread earlier that they could open source the runtime. It would be great to have one version of it, it doesn’t need to be updated for every release, which might be time consuming, but at least a version to look at if you run into problems with the runtime and to make it easier to write extensions for it, or port it to another runtime. Amazing work with the runtime, it’s great. 
Ditto comments above. Would be great to be able to fix issues without begging/waiting.
