New asset browser crashes

… not much more to add.

v3.14.4

Whether I bring it up from the main screen or from the menu inside a project or by tapping the parentheses after typing readImage, it pops up, freezes a second, then crashes.

On iPhone 12, iOS 17

@UberGoober @sim @jfperusse - tried this out on my iPad and no crashes. Latest beta in use.

However I have tried to add assets to my code using the asset list from the menu, the asset list from the editors menu and within the parentheses of the readImage() command by tapping on the images presented. The only way I could incorporate the asset path was by tapping on the highlighted parentheses and using that drop down list of assets.

Edit: my apologies - found a long press on an asset gives you the option to copy the asset key.

However - had to log into the old forum to add this edit and when I pasted into the password field it pasted in the Codea asset path that I had selected - is that a general ‘feature’ of copy and paste between apps in iOS ?

It’s interesting that it doesn’t happen on the iPad. Anyone else with an iPhone to testify about their experience?

It’s extremely frustrating, as you could imagine, because there’s no way to look at the assets or add to them.

In the end there was no way to actually get an image into the project. The best I could do was access an image in the main folder. I had to move an image into the main folder and then manually type in the asset path to access it.
