We really can’t ban people anymore since there’s no way to stop them from coming back. The only thing we can do is record their IP address and anytime they come back, just delete their posts. Hopefully that would be enough to discourage them. Thanks yojimbo2000 for deleting him.

Are we still banning throwaway email addresses, because MarianoCop is using one (spamavert)?

I would say don’t do anything until they actually do something wrong.

2 posts with a bunch of nude pictures made it on the forum. I deleted them as soon I I saw them, so fast that I didn’t even see who posted them. They were just picture after picture of nudes. So keep an eye out just in case the person tries to post them again. Since we can’t stop anyone from joining, it doesn’t matter who they were, just that we delete the posts as soon as they post them.

I don’t think so. This is a lot better than how it used to be. I used to delete hundreds of users per day because anyone and anything could join. This is the first time in a long time that I had to delete anyone, and not that many have been deleted in the past year.

Just deleted some spam from bedunmaset1984 but I didn’t delete him. I flagged him as banned. This is his email bedunmaset1984@mailforspam.com

I don’t know if you noticed, but that user, and another, had an email address at “mailforspam.com”. I banned them both.

I’m curious, too, why we have several users from email addresses at “recorated.com”, which is an apparently broken site. And they are mostly female, which has been rare (as rare as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7O4izi1fQE).

Just keeping an eye on them.

@Simeon, can we block email addresses from mailforspam.com? We’ve had four spammers from there so far.
