keyboard stops working if swipe away and back

if you have a magic keyboard attached, and do showkeyboard you can type. if you swipe or tab to another task and back, keys are no longer accepted.

i know that typing and text aren’t quite the original codea vision, but as the ipad gets more like a computer, it’d be good to have more such capability.

also, keys don;t repeat. really should work like touch.

@RonJeffries I’d like to overhaul this completely to use the new key down / key up API available in iOS 13 and above. This would be the preferred method for hardware keyboards
