There is no built-in way to have GUI, but you can find many projects people have made that allows it (such as SODA). As for editing graphics, you can change that pretty easily, unless you use images. There are shaders for images, and they are difficult (for me, at least)

Another question is, how much coding experience do you have. If you have no or little coding experience, then your chances of creating a Tycoon type game are not very good. As you gain experience, you’re chances increase.
