If you haven’t seen it yet this is a really interesting read from the iOS developer Game Oven (Fingle etc), with lot of data about the number of downloads, piracy rates etc across iOS and Android:
I’m puzzled by the time it took them to make such simple games.
They have their hand in the cookie jar, which most game developers would kill for, and they are throwing it away.
I think they just spent too much money on hiring out work. They spent $10,000 a month paying out contractors, over 3.5 years… to make 5 games…
Piracy is scary when you are selling paid apps.
