Quick question for you guys, how would i go about importing custom models for Codea Craft for a object viewer project?
Expanding on @ShatteredWindow ‘s question I think this links into the Asset folders that are present at the moment - I think models can be added to the Documents folder, possibly with all associated files to get a textured image, but how do we add files to the Surfaces and Environments folders - and what are the file requirements. There appears to be ways of copying out files from thes folders but not adding to. A little bit of information here might help newcomers to 3D imagery.
I think you are restricted in that the Environments/Surfaces and probably the other packs are downloaded when needed off the net via Kenny.nl, but if we want to add our own models what is the procedure for doing it within Craft. I’ve managed to do this with models and textures via my Dropbox folder where the obj model file contains links to the relevant texture files which are in the same Dropbox folder. Is that the only way to do this or can we do it with the Documents folder in the Sam way?

Just answered my own question I copied a .obj, .mtl and a .png texture file into the Documents folder and the image was generated without problem. My problem was I could see the model image and texture files but not the .mtl file in the Documents folder -although it was there.
Since these files were transferred from the Codea/Dropbox copy there is no advantage in using them from the Documents folder so I’ll stick to Dropbox.
@ShatteredWindow hope that answers your question.
