Will android publishing ever come to codea?

I know there are posts about this, but do you think it will ever happen? I don’t have a Mac so I can’t publish to App Store. Should I carry on using codea? I really enjoy the coding language in codea.

Well, lots of people use Codea who don’t have a Mac or aren’t interested in the App Store (you could argue that code execution apps like Codea and Pythonista represent the open source community that is otherwise absent from iOS because of Apple’s monopoly on code distribution).

So if you enjoy using Codea, keep using it, the App Store is by no means the be all and end all.

I think there is a Codea wrapper for Löve (like Codea, it’s a Lua based developing environment), which could be one route to platforms beyond iOS.

@yojimbo2000 what is Löve? Please explain to me how it works.

Löve is a 2d lua engine for mac, linux or windows: https://love2d.org

It uses Lua, like Codea, and games’ the code structure is pretty similar to Codea’s.

No, but I heard it’s somewhat similar, in its basic concept at least (the draw function for instance)
