Xcode issue with iPad Air/Retina.

I was compiling my app on different iPads (original, retina, and the newest one) and my game became really slow when I compiled it using the retina iPad and even worse when using the iPad Air setup. However, I’m using a retina iPad in Codea, and the game isn’t as slow as my mac portrays it to be, and runs very nicely on my iPad. Is this normal for a mac to do this, or should I be worried? Also as a side note, my game was the best when I compiled it using the original ipad.

This is to be expected - the simulator is not very efficient, and the iPad Air is the most expensive one.
