It started as a proof-of-concept: I wanted to show that one can quickly come up with a playable game prototype in Codea in just a few days. I used almost exclusively Codea graphic assets and took a couple of days to whip up this prototype. It’s similar to triple-town but with features I always thought the game should have. It’s playable, even fun, but definitely not addictive yet.
I have no strong push to develop the game in any direction, so I thought: why not crowd-source with the Codea community and see where that leads us?
Thanks @simeon. There’s an error on codea export function. It auto-exports all sprites except those from “planet cute”. Just copy the ‘planet cute’ sprite folder and you should good.
I am thinking of starting a kickstarter and app on this. The game will EVOLVE every fortnight purely based on user feedback. Fortnight is roughly how long apple takes to review + a couple of days for me to code. A new way of developing game, leveraging on app distribution and feedback channels
