Table.insert more than one thing?

Can I ask why 2a is stored as [2][a]? Is it detect the number first and then the subsection?

I ask as I don’t understand when to use the brackets.

Also the numbers aren’t sub levels but choices. If you imagine a ten pin bowling set up. Level one is the first pin. Level 2 is either 2a or 2b on the second row and so on…

I am simply suggesting a 2D table, with rows and columns. This means if you are on level 2, it is easy to offer the choices for that level, because they are in their own little table.

Thanks @Ignatz ! Sorry I just re read my questions as I rushed them - I didn’t mean them to sound like a criticism. It’s more so I can understand when something is in the square brackets and when something is in the curly ones. I’m getting there, thanks to you and the other cool and patient people on this forum!

That’s oK, I’m not offended.

But if you have several choices on each level, it makes sense to put them in their own table, and if you can always go left or right, then it’s easy to offer the choice of the table item that is one less or greater than the one you are in.
