Opinion: Let the community write (addons to) the runtime

Hello,
Right now, I’m writing all sorts of Objective-C plugins for my app. I’ve briefly talked about how I think that users of the community should be able to propose pre-written add-ons (with the CodeaAddOn class) to be added into Codea. Why spend time writing the runtime, when Two Lives Left should be spending more time making the editor great and let the community propose contributions? I don’t know how the “jam” between Codea and the stand alone runtime is made, but I imagine it shouldn’t be too hard.
@Simeon - If this was considered, that would be wonderful.
Thanks!
