Keyboard

@Simeon - by accident I noticed that some of the keys when held down for an extended time fire up a few alternative characters which you can paste into your code. For instance press and hold s and a window with three alternative options shows up - š - ß and ?.

What I’d like to know is:

  1. Are these valid characters for use in Codea?
  2. Do any of them have specific functions/values in Codea?
  3. Are these characters copiable/transferable in the filing system so we can save, post code etc in files without problems,?

Finally - did you know if you press and hold on the space key the whole keyboard(characters) are greyed out?

@dave1707 - thanks for the info, only recently noticed this - after all it is a touch keyboard!!

Do you know which keyboard this is - is it the

@Bri_G The keyboard has been like that forever. I checked Codea version 1.5.5 on my iPad 1 and some keys give a pop up with alternative characters. Go thru the whole keyboard and see which keys do it.
