I remember a question someone asked if the forum was as active as it used to be. I couldn’t find where it was, so I started this discussion. Here’s a couple of lists showing the number of discussions per month. The first list is the count from low to high. The second list is counts by year/month order. I didn’t include this month in the lists and I didn’t verify the counts for accuracy.

First conclusions (without doing an accurate statistical analysis): an average of approx. 100 discussions/month? 2013 has been the best “discussion year” (why?). This year, the “worst” one (also, why?). Interesting would be also the “sign up rate” to compare. ~O)
@quezadav Maybe one reason this year is the worst is because there are so many discussions that a lot of the information can be found. Instead of starting a new discussion, users are searching the forum and finding what they need.
Here’s the counts for Comments, Discussions, and Views. I’m not sure why my discussion counts vary from the values above. It’s the same program. I’m not sure I’m getting all of the discussions when I read each page of the file. I’ll have to investigate more based on what I see in the file and what I see in the forum.
PS. The first 4 discussions (Announcements) aren’t included in the counts.
PS. I think the difference is because someone might update the file as I’m reading it. That could shift the discussions from one page into a following page as I’m reading a page and I read some discussions twice.
