A more realistic read “Maybe if Codea wins, Apple will take a closer look at why it’s so popular, and realize that what they’re doing with this change is actively discouraging the creative types - not from creating, but from using their platform to do it”.
Maybe it’s worth repeating their own words back to them, to remind them where they come from:
